Mulcair Credit Union currently has a vacancy for the position of Finance Officer.

General Scope of the Role
The Finance Officer will be accountable to the CEO of the credit union for carrying out a range of finance, administrative and operational activities that contribute to the effective running of the credit union.
Main responsibilities of the Role
- Supporting and inputting into the month end management accounts.
- Preparing and submitting Central Bank returns.
- Preparing daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations.
- Managing bank accounts to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
- Processing daily standing orders and direct debits transactions.
- Processing of invoices.
- Processing vendor payments.
- Providing support to other members of staff where required, including providing cover to
- Supervisor annual leave and Teller cover from time to time.
- Working in Branch.
- Be aware of AML and Data Protection requirements and policies.
- Preparation of reports for Manager, Committees and Board as required by the manager, and to attend and contribute to meetings of such committees as may be directed by the Manager and the board of directors.
- Co-operation with manager in the development and/or implementation of new services
- To attend training programmes and workshops and completing annual CPD as required by the credit union.
- To be aware of and comply with all Health & Safety regulations as directed by the credit union.
- To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the manager
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent attention to detail and administration skills.
- Experience working in a role within a credit union or similar financial institution ideal, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork ability.
- Ability to use discretion and sensitivity in dealing with members.
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ethos of Credit Unions.
- QFA/CUA, relevant diploma or degree ideal.
